Chairlift Draws "Moth" to Double Door Flame

Caroline Polachek shines bright at the Double Door.

With a continual wave of incredible indie acts hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Chairlift manages to stand out due to front-woman Caroline Polachek’s delicate yet inventive vocal range, love of 80s synth-pop, and a playful stage presence, delightfully bordering on performance art.

Promoting the duo’s recent release of “Moth” at Chicago’s legendary Double Door, new tacks “Ch-Ching“ and “Polymorphing“ felt right at home along iconic Apple ad favorite, “Bruises”, and additional gems “I Belong in Your Arms” and “Amanaemonesia”. Left off my personal favorite list was “Evident Utensil”, that doubles as one of the most inventive videos I’ve seen and can be enjoyed below.

Venue Update: Feb 06, 2017: Double Door closes it’s iconic doors leaving me a bit more grateful for seeing Chairlift at such a wonderful time.
