Hey Now, the Regrettes Debut New Bassist at Subterranean
Held in high esteem, Lydia Night reigns supreme at Subterranean.
Opening at Subterranean with “California Friends”, Lydia Night and The Regrettes quickly held fans in a rabid rhythm, unrelenting in their grip throughout the seventeen song setlist. Undeniably punk, adorned with generous helpings of riot grrl garage-rock, surf, and 60’s doo-wop, the group’s inspired sounds resonated with “Hey Now”, “Seashore”, “Come Through” and newer singles like “Pumpkin” and “I Dare You”.
Adding to the energy of the evening was The Regrette’s newest bassist and secret weapon, Brooke Dickson. Splitting time between her other band, Chase Petra, Dickson matched the fervor of her Regrette-mates, her visceral stage presence, driving basslines and vocals complimenting the group’s dynamic aesthetic, and giving Regrettes fans one more reason to rejoice.
