Caroline Polachek Making Hearts Grow Fonder in Chicago Return
After a lengthy hiatus, Polachek returns to Chicago.
Former Chairlift front woman Caroline Polachek returned Wednesday night promoting “Pang”, her third full length album and first under her own name. It’s been 4 years since the electro pop performer, songwriter and producer headlined at Chicago’s now defunct Double Door. Her absence in the city hasn’t gone unnoticed, as last night’s sold out show at Lincoln Hall attests, her welcoming devotees offering, as opening act Desert Liminal declared, their “religious devotion”.
Performing “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings”, “Door”, “Ocean of Tears” and “Hit Me Where It Hurts”, fans can rejoice knowing Polachek is back on the touring circuit with some of the most provocative art pop you can experience served up with a dash of high hopes for the speediest of returns.
