For me, Minneapolis' underground music scene is an untapped well of some of the best music in here these middlin' western parts. Vial was an immediate highlight for me when I discovered them several years ago. A transportive, friendly neighborhood punk band that astonishes at every performance by their ability to generate the sheer sound, presence, and stage dynamism that clobbers you despite only consisting of three members.
Not the first time I've posted this befuddling ability of theirs, but always worth repeating.
The trio summoned something special Saturday night, layering heaps of charm, poignant angst, and relatability in their music that fueled a mosh pit of devotees.
They are infectious, captivating, and able to transform venues into the best playgrounds for one of Minneapolis' BEST.
