At Chicago's Motoblot event, I looked forward to capture their raw energy and ended up with an embarrassment of riches, in the quality of talent, emotion, and dynamism packed into each frame.
The Rumours' officially ignited the summer off for me, giving the season a double-bird, and a swift kick in its sunny little ass.
Photogenically, Ela Rose and Carli Foxx composite their own photos naturally, translating their music's essence effortlessly into visual body language both familiar and unabashed. In all my time shooting, I've never seen a more perfect sequence of motion than Carli cheering the crowd on. Not a single frame was wasted. Despite the sweltering Chicago heat of the day, The Rumours' performance were degrees above it, freezing the crowd in place as they burned in awe.
The Rumours aren't just a band; they're a musical movement. And I, for one, can't get enough.
