Welcome to The Great Gathering, a festival within Goekenland where a dreamlike celebration of music, theatre, and nature merge in sublime harmony.
Set against the backdrop of Goekenland's idyllic farmland, this haven of nature, lush greenery and a serene, welcoming lake, transformed an ordinary Saturday into a dreamscape where good will, the hardest of tunes, and merry-making antics reigned supreme.
Devyn Crimson curated a musical line-up featuring an array of complimentary artists that set the cadence of the evening, while Laura Murillo Hart and her troupe provided whimsical performances that kept audiences rapt, in stitches, and involved.
Graciously hosting this heavenly event is Ashley Goeken, whose warm and welcoming presence ensured guests felt at home.
This event attracted the friendliest folks, creating a vibrant, colorful, and joyful atmosphere where connections flourished and memories made.
As the sun set over the grounds, Goekenland became a celestial escape if you wanted it to be, with winding and beckoning paths through the trees, providing starry views from any vantage point within the farm. I did that for a bit, until the next band's muffled rumbling drew me back willingly to the stage, appropriately named Nucleus and the center of my evening's everything.
