I was fortunate to capture smut's first show as Chicago locals in 2021 (originally hailing from Cincinnati) and it was my first post lockdown shoot.
At a crucial time, they provided a healing sigh of relief that heralded the return of shows across town and provided a stretch of personal growth for me behind the camera and for every other time I've seen them since.

…even when they're not! Unexpectedly photographing them at Third Man Record's Blue Room in Nashville is an un-toppable smut milestone for me in '22 and an appropriate way to punctuate my year with the group ;(
