SLOW PULP

For the final shoot of the year, Slow Pulp provided the appropriate closure of a year that had a shaky start for artists globally, with continued cancellations by many, but ending it with a strong and redemptive return to Lincoln Hall after a 361-day wait.

SLOW PULP — 1

Before the show, with everything the end of year brings, and a booster shot to boot, I felt physically and mentally bankrupt.

Their performance was one of the most atmospheric and layered I've seen this year.

SLOW PULP — 2

It was peaceful, calming, raucous, gratefully familiar, and for me introspective.

Shooting Slow Pulp was a reminder to end my personal year of creativity as vehemently as the energy they projected on Tuesday night. In the end, their show provided some of my favorite photos of the year, but more importantly reinvigorated my sense of place in this wacky world.
