Horsegirl's sound is reminiscent of Jesus & the Mary Chain or Echo & the Bunnymen, with Nora Cheng and Penelope Lowenstein providing lo-fi harmonies both thoughtful and mysterious, enhanced by their fuzzy gain, and beats of anticipation perfect for sitting back to or dancing with abandon courtesy of Gigi Reece's percussive rhythms.

This trio of local artists have already shown their potential and are poised to offer some of the best new music in town I've heard in a while and worth waiting in line for.
